Jason Parker Legal (JPL) was born out of the goodwill of the former Launceston law firm Ritchie & Parker, Alfred Green & Co. (RPAG). RPAG was one of the oldest firms in Tasmania, and we believe one of the oldest in Australia, with its origins tracing back to the 1820’s.

In 2023, the remaining partners of RPAG decided to retire. Fortunately, Jason Parker was already in that firm and hoping to become the successor. He obtained his unrestricted practising certificate and was able to retain the services of long-serving RPAG employee Kathy Mills. Recently, with the addition of new team members Lauren Nielsen, Payal Kaula, Ben Hopper, Ali Khalid, Linda Coombes and Damien Durkin, the team is rapidly expanding its capabilities, and a fresh culture is emerging. JPL is a modern firm with a broad knowledge base and practice offering.
